............defeats the Bail Out!! God only knows if they did the right thing. It doesn't make sense for the regular tax paying joe's and jane's out there to be paying for the crimes of Wall Street Shysters. BUT if there isn't some kind of federal infusion to float the system, banks won't lend a dime, no flow, no go. It won't be a recession, it'll be a depression and for who knows how long. It shouldn't be too hard to find out who the worms were that made the killing here. There are tax records, there should be some kind of paper trail. The government should find them and in the interest of the nation impound every last penny they own by eminent domain, (we'll probably make a handsome profit too). This is after all a national crisis, then toss their slimmy butts out onto the street or better yet Quantanamo. One thing that bail out MUST have (if there ever is one) is a clause for a federal judges to renegoitiate the terms of these rotten mortgages so people can stay in their homes. Looks like it's gonna be a long, cold, lonely winter...........................
